Lee Hansen was born into an Army family, experiencing life in multiple countries and exploring many more. She graduated with honors, earning a degree in Early Childhood Education and a master’s degree in International Affairs. After a distinguished career as a naval aviator, Lee founded The Global Corner, a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching children about other countries and cultures.

Lee lives in Pensacola, Florida, with her husband. Together, they have five married children and sixteen exceptionally bright grandchildren. Their family home is shared with two beloved dogs, Raven, a Labrador, and Lulu, a Plott Hound.

Globert is the adventurous explorer in Globert Explores Japan, the first book in a series inspired by The Global Corner. Spinning the Amazing Country Wheel, he lands in Japan, where his friend Mitsuki shows him everyday life, traditions, and celebrations, bringing the vibrant culture of the Land of the Rising Sun to young readers.

The Global Corner

The Global Corner is dedicated to broadening children's horizons through cultural education. The organization creates engaging resources that teach kids about global traditions, customs, and daily life in different countries. By fostering curiosity and understanding, The Global Corner aims to nurture the next generation of globally aware citizens.

Through their in-school "Passport Program" and after-school adventures, The Global Corner connects children with the wider world, promoting empathy, knowledge, and appreciation for diversity.

Proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit The Global Corner.
